It's always a pleasure to do an interview with Eric Bibb as he is very generous and thoughtful in his answers. Eric has just released and album with harp player Jean-Jacques Milteau mostly around Lead Belly songs and a couple pf compositions by the duo.
Guitar wise, in this interview Eric is playing an all mahogany Larson Bros guitar (www.larsonbros.com) built by Maurice Dupont (www.acoustic-guitars.com) in France.

Album Review
The 16 song album is excellent to revisit with a new twist all the Lead Belly repertoire. Plus about a third of the album was recorded live at the Sunset in Paris which gives another dimension to the music. One of my favorite song on the album is Stewball which Eric did an acoustic version just for The Guitar Channel (see the full video above if you are a Backstage Pass owners, if not, it's time to subscribe!).
As always with Eric the guitar playing is super. The added color brought by Jean-Jacques Milteau on harp brings the perfect complement to make it an excellent Blues album.
Bonus: acoustic version of "Stewball"
After the interview I asked Eric to play a song from the album, here's the result in video:
Until the next interview, keep on playing the Blues on your guitar!
Pierre Journel.
