During my wanderings on the Internet I discovered a series of videos produced by Allen Hinds (allenhinds.com) on his YouTube channel entitled: What Makes This Guitar Great and Affordable. It is definitely a must-watch as Allen tells some cool stories about his guitars.

Note that Allen presents a guitar that is an assembly of various parts from Strat Vintage. In the end, this gives a guitar worth about 5 to 6,000$ (he talks about it in another video from the series) so the affordability is relative. You actually have to compare it to a fully original Strat from the same era which is in the $20,000 to $30,000 range.
