The great Canadian city has been a must stop for The Guitar Channel for a couple of years now for the Montreal Jazz Festival. The program is always great and full of great musicians. Concerts of 2019
Here are the concerts I went to during this edition:
- George Benson: despite being completely jet lagged, I enjoyed a lot this concert, especially the second part which was more up beat.
- Jacob Collier: great concert by the super talented multi-instrumentist youtuber who is now with a full band.
- Rodrigo y Gabriela: excellent show by the duo. The crowd loved it, so did I. I hope to interview them in the future.
- Peter Frampton: probably the best concert and biggest surprise as I did not expect such a level of energy.
- Juan Carmona: deep and powerful Flamenco concert with some great solo pieces as well as music with the band.
