It is always a rare event to visit a guitar factory. First because there are not that many of them around the world and then because it is rare to be able to access those facilities easily. After visiting Taylor Guitars on the American side in California in El Cajon near San Diego, The Guitar Channel invites you to discover the state-of-the-art factory just a few miles from San Diego, in Mexico, just across the border.
Moreover for this visit we had nothing less than Andy Powers, the master builder of Taylor, as a private guide for the visit of this production unit that is not open to the public normally. In contrast to the factory of El Cajon which is open to all for a visit (very well done) and free every day at 13:00.
