I'd been wanting to try out a product from Chase Bliss (chasebliss.eu) for a while. The videos I'd seen of the Clean pedal had excited me, so I contacted them and bang, I received this a few weeks later. Well, this creative compressor (as they call it) is formidable.
You can make it do lots of things beyond classic compression. The Clean can boost, saturate, modulate and equalize. And all dynamically. What a world!

What I liked
- The sounds
- Super quiet
- Advanced functions
- The look
- Internal presets
- Very well-done documentation
What I didn't like
- A little confusing, with lots of buttons, but you soon get the hang of it!
Conclusion
This is the first time I've directly tested a Chase Bliss pedal. I'd always been a little impressed by the apparent complexity of their format, with its many pots, switches and DIP switches. I was wrong to be afraid, as this Clean is very easy to set up.
I highly recommend reading the well-written documentation. It explains very clearly what each setting does. The explanations are clear and concise, a very good point. My hat's off to the brand for supplying the pedal with quality documentation.
I still have a lot to discover in this Clean, which is packed with interesting sounds.
Until the next interview or gear review, keep on playing the guitar!
