As for the editions of the previous years of the Puteaux Guitar Festival, The Guitar Channel realized a satisfaction survey with the exhibitors of the luthiers show that I was organizing for the sixth time.
To my knowledge, the Puteaux guitar show is the only one to conduct a satisfaction survey at each edition and to publish the results.
The following eight criteria were rated by respondents:
- General satisfaction
- Communication
- Quality of reception
- Exhibition space
- Demo concerts
- Test studios
- Sales or orders taken during the show
- Satisfied with contacts made during the show
Since it was the same criteria as the previous years, it allows to see the evolution of the show over the years.
Results of the 2025 satisfaction survey
Note that due to Covid, the festival was not held in 2020 and 2021.
Analysis of the results
Overall, there has been an improvement in all indicators except for the first three: Overall Satisfaction, Communication, and Reception.
Overall Satisfaction is down, no doubt due to slightly lower attendance compared to 2023. Communication was too weak for a trade show/festival of this scale, and more resources will need to be allocated to this area for the next edition.
A guitar show that sells
It should be noted that 57% of exhibitors sold or took orders during the three days of the show. This is the best performance of the show apart from the post-COVID peak in 2022. The Puteaux guitar showw therefore fully deserves its reputation as a “trade show that sells,” most likely thanks to the seven studios, which received a resounding vote of approval from exhibitors with a perfect score of 100%.
It should also be noted that 100% of exhibitors were satisfied with the contacts they made. This indicator confirms how targeted and qualified the visitors to the Puteaux show are, with a keen interest in high-end guitar gear.
A huge thank you to the whole team of the Lully Conservatory in Puteaux who worked hard for the success of the festival and the show.
See you in 2027 (so not in 2026 then...) for the next edition of the Puteaux Guitar Festival. The city has decided to hold this event only every other year. As the organizer of the exhibition and demo concerts, I regret this decision, but as I am not involved in the decision-making process, there is little I can do about it.
