American guitarist Phil X, who has been playing with Bon Jovi for years, has released with the PXO an excellent double pedal from J. Rockett Audio Designs (rockettpedals.com), which I'd like to introduce in this review.

What I Enjoyed The Most
- Possible sounds
- The ability to change the direction from boost to overdrive or vice versa
- The look
- Build quality
What I Enjoyed The Least
- A pit pricy (but it is a double pedal...)
Conclusion
In a relatively compact format for a dual pedal, the PXO provides excellent boost and overdrive. As the signal routing direction can be reversed, this adds even more flexibility.
You can choose to boost the overdrive to change its gain structure, or choose to play louder for a solo with the main drive level. The Tilt EQ pot on the boost side is very well thought-out. It allows you to completely switch the audio spectrum, and not just act on one frequency band.
Unfortunately, the PXO won't make you play like the great Phil X, but at least you'll get the big sound.
Until the next interview or gear review, keep on playing the guitar!
