The Guitar Channel (www.theguitarchannel.biz) is the passion amplifier of the people inlove with the guitar. It has the form of an audio and video podcast started in March 2009 by Pierre Journel (pjournel@gmail.com @pjournel).

The Guitar Channel allows people to discover the hidden stories behind the music they love while discovering new guitar genres and improving their ability to play the instrument.

The mission of this podcast is to help discover all the facets of the guitar via in-depth interviews with musicians, luthiers, amp or effect builder and also via soundseeings of instruments, effects as well as any equipment having a role in creating a sound.

In case you are wondering about the LCG letters in front of every episodes, they are the initiales for La Chaîne Guitare (www.lachaineguitare.com) which is the name of the show in french. As I publish episodes both in french AND english on La Chaîne Guitare, I keep the same naming and numbering scheme. So don’t worry if you see the number jumping steps, it is because I post french episodes too.

The song used at the beginning of every show is a wonderful composition from Jean-Michel Kajdan called “Der aKtivist”. Jean-Michel kindly gave me his authorization to use is as a soundtrack.
